Easter Tag

I really wanted to make something spring. So here goes.
This project was a stretch for me because I don't own very many Justrite stamps and I wanted to enter the challenge over at http://joanscreations.blogspot.com/  to win some fabulous prizes. The project had to be stamped with Justrite stamps only. I used the Brayton Font letter set for the greeting and the Curlz font little half flower on the scallop border. I used a 1 3/8 inch circle border from a JR monogram set that I got a number of years ago around the Happy Easter. I cut the oval egg shape with my Fiskars oval cutter. First one with a stiffer cardboard and then covered on both sides with a paper from my StampinUp stash. I used a bit of green ric rac and a bit of lace. The yellow butterflies are cut with an Embosslit from SU with a touch of Stickles on the bodies. Paper flower made from SU paper(Pretty in Pink). All ready to be hung on an Easter basket!

Baby Banner

What a ridiculously cold March!!! I am sooooo looking forward to SPRING!!
"All things in life are temporary.  If going well, enjoy it, they will not last forever.  If going wrong, don't worry, they can't last long either". Winter has lasted long :(

This is a picture of a baby banner that my daughter and I manufactured for her friend's baby shower. We found an inspiration photo in a Papercrafting book and we built it in different colors, embellishments etc. We worked with the things I had in my stash because our one and only local paper crafting store was closed(moving??). Surprise on us. Love how it turned out! The shapes are cut out of 1/8" wood and then Jenelle painted them. Next we covered the shapes with paper. We made the letters by layering 5 thicknesses of white cardstock so that they could be slightly 3D. We added some embellishments and it is ready to hang at the shower

DVD of old family photos

This is a DVD with lots (200+) of old Family pictures that I put together for all the Hiebert Family. I made nine of them.We watched it at our Christmas celebration 2010 (actually celebrated Jan.9th 2011 at Chris and Melissa's) that's why the date on the cover.
The picture didn't turn out as nice as I would have liked because of the glare on the DVD tin. I found that taking the picture on a darker background just worked better.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my work!! Leave me a comment.......

Powerpoint Creation for Kathy

This is a Power point Creation that I made for my sister.  The holder is made with a cardstock first and then a layer of designer paper. I sewed them together to create my envelope and to give it some extra strength. I stamped and sponged lightly with Tim Holtz distress ink, then distressed the edges. I added some StampinUp chocolate chip taffeta ribbon.

Green and Yellow

I am finally back with a new card. This actually looks more like a fall (sunflower) card but it is green and yellow for Joans Garden challenge over at http://joanscreations.blogspot.com/ My peice of trim is the silver string, there is embossing on the flower and leaf cut out with spellbinders and the frame to bring attention to my focal. I think I got it covered.
