Card and Tag Challenge

Here's the final Card and Tag challenge for the season over at Joan's garden  This card is done in BoBunny papers. I hand cut the top of the card to match the tag. The "doilies" are done with Spellbinders. A little ribbon and a few buttons and twine added. One stamp from SU used for the flowers on the doilies. I had to keep it more simple because I ran out of time.

Monochromatic card

It's raining it's pouring so I am unable to work out in my yard. If it isn't the wind it's the rain. I was able to mow my grass and fertilize before the rains so goody for that!! I came indoors and finished up my  card for the challenge at Joans garden, to see details click here
Requirements: *Monochromatic *Embossed background *Flowers *Flourish * Butterflies.
I used Sizzix butterfly dies, SU paper cameo coral, off white and Pirouette pink, Spellbinders shapeabilites flourish , Prima  flowers, Rose is handmade from paper. Stamps from Papertrey Ink- Butterfly Kisses, Cuttlebug folders. I used a bit of Creamy Caramel ink to darken the edges and stamp the sentiment and swirls in the butterfly. I think I got it all covered!!

Vintage Blue and Green

My card for the challenge here The requirements were Colors Blue/Green, Use a Lady, Include a Large Embellishment, Attach a bow. I used an old 2004 set from Stampin up. I love this set but it has hardly been used. It is one of two sets that I have that have a "Lady" in them. So there it is. Paper is from an old SU color Buckaroo blue. The little ribbon is silk leftover from some ribbon embroidery that I did years ago. I used Tim Holtz distress ink-Pumice stone to stamp along with the SU BBlue and Mellow moss. Did a bit of coloring with Copic markers.
So that's it!!

A garden card

Well chances are slim that I would win again this week but I enjoy entering the challenges at Joans Garden. You can check that out over HERE . It keeps me motivated in designing another card each week. Requirements *Colors lime green and pink *Lattice *Leaves to create a vine * Butterflies.
I used a saleabration "Sweet Summer" stamp set from SU. I cut strips for my lattice in off white. The rest is pretty straight forward. Punch on bottom is ek success. Now I can just add whichever sentiment I want when I need it. Thanks Joan for the last win, I'll be looking forward to receiving it in the mail!! :)

Treasure every day card

Here's my card for Joan's challenge over here. I made my card to look like a chest of drawers with embossing. The ornate top in blue is Spellbinders diecut flourish. Drawers are embossed using cuttlebug folders. Drawers are dimensional. The bird is my splash of color. A little sponging to make it look "treasured". These are the guidelines:

  •  use an embossing folder
  •  something die cut
  •  something dimensional
  •  a monocromatic card with a splash of color

Big Farewell Card

This is an 8 1/2 by 11 inch card. The youth pastor from our church is leaving so I was asked if I could put a card together. It needed to be big enough for 60 signatures. I added inside pages for added signatures. Mostly computer generated with a bit of ribbon and glue to hold it together. I scrounged for some sad looking clipart people and if they weren't sad looking I "fixed" the faces so they did look sad.
