To the Moon and Back

CFC89:  With the Grammys coming up in a few days, we thought it would be fun to have a song inspired challenge.  Choose a song you love, then create a CAS project that is inspired by it!

The song my inspiration came from is "From Here to the Moon and Back" by Dolly Parton and Kris Kristofferson from the movie Joyful Noise.
Any word could be added with a stamp above "to the Moon and Back" like Love you, Miss you, etc.
Supplies; SU Owl punch and Branch from Bird punch
I inked up the edges of the circle cut out to make a moon.

Stamped Pillow box

Hi again, our weather is back on track. Yay for that! We are back near the thawing mark. We sure had a few cold days last week.
For This Weeks Make It Monday "To stamp a pillow box", this is my project. I used PTI stamp sets Through the Trees for the little tree and a sentiment from Little Bitty Bird. Ink and paper from SU. I stamped then masked the little trees to stamp the continuing sentiment overtop. I made the flower by cutting circles out of some satin fabric then heating the edges slightly to make them curl. I sewed a couple of beads into the center.
So that's it, thanks for stopping to take a look!!

Washi Tape at Waltzing Mouse

It's a frosty morning in Saskatchewan Canada. WOW wind chills of -43!! Calm and frosty. Actual temps were in the -35 range. Too cold for me. Forecast is that we'll be back in the + side of temps in a day or two again.
Here's my first shot at the Challenge over at Waltzing Mouse I absolutely love Washi tape and this is an awesome tutorial on how to make it. I love the WM stamps although I only have a few sets so that made this a challenge for sure. I made my washi tape with a scroll from Compliments of the Season and the pink one is made with one side of a label from Holiday Labels No 14. I used scor tape to mount my tissue paper. The sentiment is from Wplus9 Spring Tags(so nice and versatile)
So that's my Shabby Chic card a little shabby and a little bling!!
Stay Warm!!

Layered Embossing

This is my card for Heather's Layered Embossing technique. To check it out go HERE
I used the PTI Butterfly stamp set and the emboss resist technique for my first layer. I colored the butterfly with some copic markers, then used the alcohol marker to take the ink off the flower and swirls within that butterfly.
I found out that you have to be very careful not to overheat the second embossing layer as it tends to run together easily. So that's my project!!
