Washi Tape at Waltzing Mouse

It's a frosty morning in Saskatchewan Canada. WOW wind chills of -43!! Calm and frosty. Actual temps were in the -35 range. Too cold for me. Forecast is that we'll be back in the + side of temps in a day or two again.
Here's my first shot at the Challenge over at Waltzing Mouse I absolutely love Washi tape and this is an awesome tutorial on how to make it. I love the WM stamps although I only have a few sets so that made this a challenge for sure. I made my washi tape with a scroll from Compliments of the Season and the pink one is made with one side of a label from Holiday Labels No 14. I used scor tape to mount my tissue paper. The sentiment is from Wplus9 Spring Tags(so nice and versatile)
So that's my Shabby Chic card a little shabby and a little bling!!
Stay Warm!!

Layered Embossing

This is my card for Heather's Layered Embossing technique. To check it out go HERE
I used the PTI Butterfly stamp set and the emboss resist technique for my first layer. I colored the butterfly with some copic markers, then used the alcohol marker to take the ink off the flower and swirls within that butterfly.
I found out that you have to be very careful not to overheat the second embossing layer as it tends to run together easily. So that's my project!!

Packaging cards With Oversized Envelopes

This is my take on the 100th Make It Monday Challenge. Check it all out HERE
I decided to put my card into an envelope which was cut out to accomodate the balloons on the bike. I did so by cutting the envelope so the balloons could slide down into the envelope that I attached to the gift bag with super sticky tape. My card is stamped with PTI Everyday Button Bits, Enjoy the Ride and I used the Polka Dot Basics to stamp the dots on the bag. The balloons were made by cutting small circles of PTI wool felt and a small piece of print fabric. I stitched around the outside and then tucking fibre fill into the center and pulling the thread up to form a ball. I attached them to the card with hot glue. I think shank buttons would work good too. I just didn't have any that were suitable so I made them this way. It was a fun challenge!!

Repeats and Rainbows

I finally did a Make it Monday challenge. Here's my color choice and the card I came up with.
--Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and one of the rainbow color schemes illustrated above along with a repeated die-cut or stamped image.

Stamp set of choice was PTI Up Up and Away and I used the PTI cloud diecut to sponge in some sky color.
