Negative Cover Plate #2

Here's a second go at the Make It Monday #177 "Using Cover Plate Negatives". Again I used the PTI Twist coverplate to lay the diamond shapes and the little gold inbetween shapes. Great way to lay a perfect line of shapes to a card. A very clean and simple card which I don't often make.

Cover Plate Negative Technique

It's a cool rainy end of the week so it's been fun getting into my papers and doing a little organizing and getting a card done for the Make it Monday #177 Using Cover Plate Negatives I used Papertrey's white cardstock, burlap twine and the Twist cover plate (love this plate) for my card. After I had my piece cut out and negative glued down, it looked quilted so I just thought "baby card" which I need in my collection. The teddy bear is from a long ago retired SU stamp set. Probably one of my very first stamp purchases.

Diamond Wallpaper Stamping Make it Monday 174

This is my card for the challenge at PTI Make It Monday I used PTI Vintage Labels to create the Wallpaper background for my card. I colored in between the lines with a yellow marker although it is hard to see it. Stamped with SU Night of Navy and cardstock. I embossed the yellow CS with a Darice embossing folder and cut the bottom of the pink with a PTI scalloped edge die. I made a paper flower by cutting then wetting and scrunching the paper. Added a few pearls etc.
