Will's ornament
Just another ornament I tried. There is a circle of acetate(same size as the dimensions of the glass ornament) that is stamped then coloured with Sharpie markers(they work the best because of colour intensity and better opacity) then it is rolled up and inserted into the glass globe. Hang a string onto the acetate, I used gold twine. I then poured a bit of diamond snow sparkle into the globe. Reinsert the top and add whatever ribbon you like. It turned out quite nicely. The picture was hard to do because of reflections on the globe.

Christmas ornament for Joe
Finally I am back with a few Christmas projects!! this is an ornament that was just a plain little car which didn't look at all like a Christmas ornament so with a little Sculpey clay and paint and sparkle Voila!! it's in the tree. It is Joe's 2010 ornament with a little personal touch. Actually the snowman was Jenelle's shaping and idea and then away I had to go with paint and sparkle. She also sculpted the candy canes on the hood. I started with gifts in the car but that was too difficult to paint with fine detail.

Layered Jars
What a beautiful day today!!! Smile smile.......... the sun is shining brightly and no wind. LOOOOOVE It!!! Today I am adding a "kitchen design" to enter into a challenge over at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/ These are jars that I made for a ladies fun day. They were used as table center pieces and then later as door prizes. Huge hit. The recipe and instructions to make the soup and cookies are on the back of the tag that is hanging on the jar. The cookie recipe is one that my Mom always made and the other one is good a hearty beef vegetable soup. Both are very yummy!
Supplies: Stampin Up stamps, paper that was leftovers from Creative memories. Stampin up punch for circles.

Just a simple card for a "just because" occasion. We have a "Care card Ministry" in our church so this is one that will probably be used just for that.
Enjoy your DAY!! It is rainy here today so I get to play indoors. Smile. I should be out buying some of my bedding plants etc. but it is just too wet. Maybe later.

Just Because card
Ahhhhh Smile:) spring is finally springing!! It looks like it is going to be a nice day and the forecast is also looking good. Time to carry on gardening.
This card turned out nice after a whole lot of fiddling. I used some paper from an old collection of SU. I antiqued it up, roughed it up, sewed it up a bit and made a scrunched paper flower. The rest is pretty straight forward. This was inspired from a challenge somewhere but I forgot where that was. The only stamps I used is the little sentiment and the old looking damask corner. A nesties label was used to cut out the label. SU punch to make the flower.

Repurposed Vellum
It's been a very rainy few days. The rain has been dripping through the roof since our shingles were very badly damaged in a recent windstorm.
I am getting cabin fever. Needing to get out into the sunshine, mow some grass and just check to see the progress on my perennials. Everything should be nicely greened up by the time I can work out there again.
This card that I am posting was done reusing some vellum from a program from a church fundraiser supper. The hymn Amazing Grace was printed on the vellum. I cut out one verse and attached that with brads. I punched out some of the vellum to make the flower by stacking 3 differnet shapes and creasing them with my fingernail, then glueing them together. A pink rhinestone was used in the middle.
Stamps: Bird on a Branch SU "Blessings" from another coll.
Inks: SU- Choc chip, celery green
Paper: SU- Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Cuttlebug embossing strip
SU taffeta choc chip ribbon
