Papertrey December Blog Hop Challenge
Happy Boxing day everyone!! We are still celebrating Christmas today with turkey and all the trimmings. Another day of food and fun. Christmas is really the most wonderful time of the year.
Head on over to Papertrey's Blog Hop for action and details on the "Holiday's Leftover" challenge. Things to use are leftover wrapping paper, canceled postage, bows, photos etc. So here's my take on this challenge. I used a strip of leftover gold wrapping paper folded to make a band, a ribbon piece, some awesome butter cookies and a few candy in the box. The box I used is a leftover pkg from some small Christmas tree ornaments. On the front tag I used PTI Vintage labels and All About You. Fun creation!
Email me if you would like the recipe for these cookies.

Glittering all the way
This is a technique called "Glitter Masking" as shown at Paper trey ink make-it-monday #44 by Jennifer. My project is a picture for a shabby frame that I have. I cut out my masks with PPT ink ric rack for the red garland and scalloped trim edger for the bottom of the tree. The tree base is stamp from Tree Trimming Trio. The ornaments and star are punches. I mounted it on a piece of Simply Chartreuse cardstock. A bit of a messy technique but glad I tried it : )

Make it Monday challenge
Another card for the Make it Monday Challenge Love these challenges!! Betsy did a very beautiful card with this technique!! Some of my background lettering is a little to dark for my liking but all in all it's ok. I masked the tree because of the lighter green and I thought I might lose the flourishes if I didn't mask.
Stamps: Papertrey Tree Trimming Trio, Believe
Paper: SU
Ink: Memento Black and SU Olive Green
Diamond Stickles

Snowy Background Technique
This was much more difficult than I thought it would be. Not sure if it was the cardstock or the ink that I used. I could not get the water to make my snow like I would have liked. I used SU glossy cardstock and SU inks. I added a bit of stickles to the tree and decked up Rudolf's nose with a punched out red cardstock with a bit of dimensionals to make it shiny and 3D. To check out the challenge go to Joan's garden or to Selma's blog It was fun but it was a bit of a challenge!!

CASual Fridays sketch challenge
Another card for the CAS-ual Fridays sketch challenge. I love how this one turned out :) I used PPTink Tree Trimming Trio and SU Border builders (old retired set). I mounted one on green and one on pink bc I couldn't decide. I like them both. I went over the stars with my clear Gelly Roll pen to give them a bit of sparkle although it doesn't show up much on the photo.
Brayer Techniques
Here's my Papertrey's Make It Monday and CAS-ual Friday challenge card with the brayer technique. I used the PTI Sunshine Impression plate with PTI Fillable Frames. Little gift (random stamp). I brayered with an very old SU combo stamp pad. I punched holes in the centers of the circles. I'm not all that impressed with my finished project but I was too far into it to chuck it. So needless to say here it is.

CAS Halloween without Orange
It was fun to put a Halloween card together without orange and still make it look like Halloween. Here's my take on the CAS-ual Fridays challenge. I cut out a ghost shape and gave her some wonky eyes and a bit of boa hair. Letters were cut with Cuttlebug "Your not the Boss of me" letters. I did a bit of stripe coloring on the white letter. I cut strips of green and black to mount on the purple to give a stripe effect. That's it! I hope you like it! I think she's kinda cute.

Winter Post
Hi Everybody, we are having an absolutely hot October here in Canada. The temps are in the high 70's to 80's. It's dry and too warm for my liking but it's better than snow. Today I am posting a card for over at Joan's Garden Challenge and over at Simon Says stamp Sparkle and Bling challenge. I used the SU Winter post for the first time. I used PTI paper. My bling is in the trees and in the center of the snowflakes. When I think of sparkle I think of snow. I love making all things Christmas!!

Seed Packet Chipboard Accent Tag
I enjoyed this technique so I'm giving a second try at the chipboard accents. Details Here . For the pot I used the inner part of the Papertrey Ink Seed Packet Frame die that coordinates with Garden Variety. The dots were stamped with Polka Dot basics and the label is from Garden Variety. Papers are a mix from PTI and MS.

Thick Chipboard Accents
Here's my take on the Papertrey's Make it Monday challenge. I made a Christmas Tag/Ornament and used the Mat Stack 2 die and Believe stamp set. I layered the berries with some Raspberry fizz cardstock, then added some dimensional glaze to them. The copic leaves were colored with copics. I gold embossed the edge of the tag. This was kinda difficult to photograph so I included a few pictures of it. I stacked 9 layers of cardstock. Top layer of patterned paper used is from Provo.
Casual Fridays Monochromatic
My card for the challenge at Casual Fridays "Monochromatic with Brown". I used 3 shades of SU Blues, the embossed sentiment SU chocolate chip and all stamping on was done with PTI "All about You". Go HERE to check the details of the challenge.

Stamps sets used are: Papertrey's, Out on a Limb, Damask Designs and Turning a New Leaf. Flower with SU Wonderful You. Paper used is SU Close to Cocoa, PPtrey Aqua Mist and Chocolate remix.

Acrylic Stamping
This is my card for the PapertreyInk Make it Monday challenge I needed to design a (keep it simple) Welcome packet envelope for church to hold brochures pen and gift card. This would be perfect time to try the acrylic stamping. I did this on a 5.75 x 9.5 inch envelope. I used the Life, Wreath for all Seasons and Vintage labels stamp sets. I acrylic stamped all the flowers and heat embossed a few dots around to go with the Welcome label. I added a bit of brown paint around the edges of the envelope and die cut as well. Great tip to frame up an edge!
